Popis:	The Gustilo and Anderson open fracture system is a commonly used classification in orthopaedic surgery. Unfortunately, misunderstandings of the original manuscripts are common, and familiar treatment and classification dogma are scribed to the landmark studies. This study describes the actual assertions of the work, and several misperceptions are set straight.
