Popis: A single two-compartment model suitable for studying the production and elimination of porphyrins from cells was prepared. Chloroquine with increasing concentrations:-- Inhibits the total production of porphyrins. Reduces intracellular concentration of porphyrins. Increases transversal permeation of porphyrins through the cellular membrane.
