Popis: | Acute poisoning of formalin is rare because of its strong irritating effect and alarming odor. Although few cases of acute poisoning in adults have been reported in literature, to our knowledge, this is the first case report of formalin poisoning in an infant presenting with multisystem failure. Despite proper supportive treatment in the absence of antidote, the infant died within 13 hours after deliberate poisoning. Language: en |
