Popis: | A generalization of an existing method to obtain isospectral systems (i.e., systems having the same natural frequencies for a given set of boundary conditions) for beams of all taper powers is attempted. As illustration of its success, typical isospectrally equivalent systems obtained by this method are presented. They are confirmed for their frequency equivalence by the finite element method (FEM). Incomplete and scaled isospectral systems also are indicated. ? 1996 Academic Press Limited. |
