Popis: | Uncontrolled type 2 diabetes can lead to a multitude of health complications. Insulin therapy is recommended when patients are unable to reach their A1C goal with oral or noninsulin injectable diabetes medications. This study evaluated the clinical benefits of switching from multiple daily insulin injections to a wearable insulin delivery device (V-Go). A retrospective chart review was conducted on 44 patients who received prescriptions for the V-Go at two family medicine offices. Investigators found a significant reduction in A1C and daily insulin requirements with no impact on weight or BMI. |
