Popis: | Poly(ethylene terephthalate) film was modified with argon or perfluorohexane plasma to obtain hydrophilic or hydrophobic surfaces, respectively. Various biological experiments in vitro and in vivo were chosen in order to evaluate the influence of such treatment on biocompatibility. Plasma modification does not cause toxic effects and does not influence disadvantageously the tested polyester biocompatibility. The huge changes in surface energy cause only minor changes in the biological behaviour of the samples. |
