Popis: | We present two cases of abnormal skull shape, initially thought to represent cloverleaf skull, or kleeblattschadel, in fetuses with IUGR. Skeletal dysplasia was suspected in each case because of the skull shape and the presence of shortened limbs. The pregnancies were continued, and the babies were delivered prematurely. Both were severely growth retarded but were otherwise healthy. Neither infant demonstrated evidence of skeletal dysplasia. Abnormal skull shape may be another manifestation of IUGR, not necessarily associated with underlying skeletal dysplasia. CASE REPORTS |
