| Popis: | A sixty year old man was found to have a monoclonal gammopathy, probably due to multiple myeloma, associated with markedly elevated serum cholesterol and total lipid levels. There were no xanthomas. A low fat, low carbohydrate diet had no effect on the hyperlipidemia. There was no familial hyperlipidemia. The patient later died of heart failure. |
