Popis: | The clinical significance of anomalous origin of the right coronary artery (RCA) has been controversial. Roberts et al 1 reported a compilation of necropsy data from 4 studies. Of 26 patients reported, none had symptoms of cardiac dysfunction or death that could be attributed to an anomalous origin of the RCA. Roberts et al reviewed angiographie data from 6 studies involving living patients in whom anomalous origin of the RCA was identified. Among 31 patients, 9 (29%) had symptoms of cardiac dysfunction unassociated with significant coronary or noncoronary cardiac disease. We report our experience with 12 patients who had angiographic evidence of anomalous origin of the RCA. |
