| Popis: | We report a case of HIV-related neutropaenia exacerbated by efavirenz. While many drugs, including antiretroviral agents, are known to cause neutropaenia in HIV-infected patients, there are no reports in the literature implicating efavirenz as a cause. Two reports of neutropaenia associated with efavirenz, other than the one reported here, have been reported through the UK adverse drug reaction reporting scheme (Dr S. Kenyon, Pharmacovigilance Risk Assessment Unit, Medicine & Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency, London, personal communication). |
