| Popis: | Two patients not succumbing immediately to acid ingestion in whom typical delayed sequelae were seen are reported. Delayed pyloric stenosis, without esophageal involvement but with histamine achlorhydria should be anticipated following the swallowing of acid. The findings in over 80% of more than 150 reported cases of this syndrome are so similar that the information should now be included in textbooks. The management of this condition is discussed. |
