Popis: | Ectopic tonsils have been described in a number of anatomic locations in the head and neck; the pathophysiology remains unclear. Given the rarity of these lesions, there are no guidelines regarding treatment. We present a case report of lymphoid nodule with reactive follicles and epithelial crypts lined by stratified squamous epithelium considered to be ectopic tonsillar lymphoid tissue in the laryngeal arytenoid. The lesion was completely excised at microlaryngoscopy. Follow up has shown no recurrence of the disease. |
