Popis: | Data for the digital-computer method are obtained from a scintillation camera and processed in a Linc-8 computer. Computer output consists of an oscilloscope display of the outlined liver and located defects plus print-out of the quantitative interpretation. Radioisotope scans belonging to either tumor or nontumor groups give computed parameters from which the grouping is obtained and show probabilities of correct grouping. Defect- and organ-outlining techniques generally have proved successful, although some difficulties with tumors on the liver edge and fissure-type defects have been encountered. Preliminary investigation of the proposed analysis indicates that the normal liver and cirrhosis appear inseparable on this basis. |
