Popis: | For a temperature range of −11.8–92.6°C, the propagation rate constant kp of styrene has been determined with the use of pulsed-laser polymerization (PLP). The temperature dependency of the obtained kp data was evaluated using the Arrhenius equation. The NLLS error-in-variables method (EVM) is recommended for this fit. The resulting activation energy is 32.6 kJ mol−1 and the pre-exponential factor is 107.66 dm3 mol−1 s−1. A joint confidence interval for these parameters is given. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. |
