Popis: | Occupational Therapy Decision Making Guidelines for Problems in Written Productivity are being developed for occupational therapists (OTs) working with school-aged children with cerebral palsy who experience handwriting problems. These guidelines will assist the OT to choose suitable intervention strategies following assessment. The purpose for this study was to determine agreement amongst OTs for identification of (a) assessment findings and interventions; and (b) the five most important interventions for case examples of children with cerebral palsy who were experiencing problems with written work. Four videotaped case examples were sent to 26 OTs. For each case the OTs showed greater than 50% agreement on 8 or more assessment items, and on 6 or more intervention items, which demonstrates considerable consistency in OT practice. There was less consistency in the interventions that were prioritized; however, many of the preferred intervention strategies have no empirical support for this population. Reco... |
