| Popis: | Lumbricus meliboeus (Rosa, 1884) Lumbricus meliboeus Rosa, 1884: 21. Lumbricus meliboeus: Mr��ić 1991: 471. Karaman & Stojanović 1995: 141. Stojanović & Karaman 2003: 58. Ecology. Epigeic species living in litter of deciduous forests and in carbonated soils (Zicsi 1965). Distribution in Montenegro. Northern Montenegro: Lovćen (Mr��ić 1991), Žabljak (Karaman & Stojanović 1995); eastern Montenegro: Bijelo Polje (Karaman & Stojanović 1995). Zoogeographical distribution type. The center of distribution of Lumbricus meliboeus is in the Alps at the subalpine level (Salom�� et al. 2011). Mr��ić (1991) states that the northernmost findings of the species are in Slovenia, and the southernmost point of its distribution is in Montenegro. However, based on new literature data (Christian & Zicsi 1999; R��mbke 2006; Salom��a et al. 2011; Milutinović et al. 2013) it is clear that Germany is the northernmost border and that Mt. Rila (Bulgaria) is the southernmost distribution limit. Therefore, L. meliboeus belongs to the Alpine-Balkanic type (Milutinović et al. 2012).
