Popis: | Wool, a dead tissue of epithelial origin, derives many of its properties as a textile fibre from the structure and arrangement of the proteins from which it is comprised. Much of the progress in the elucidation of wool protein structures, as a step towards understanding this relationship between structure and properties, has been made in the Division of Protein Chemistry of Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization. |
