Popis: | Both acetylcholine receptor (AChR) and antibodies capable of binding to the AChR can be measured using the recently developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The assay is very sensitive and reproducible. Because of the relative simplicity of the ELISA in comparison to radioimmunoassay procedures currently used to measure anti-AChR antibodies, the ELISA may prove valuable as a clinical diagnostic tool for the human disease myasthenia gravis. |
