Popis: | C rohn's disease is a chronic idiopath~c illness t?at involves segmental, granulomatous mflammatwn of the gastrointestinal tract mucosa. Ocular involvement in Crohn's disease has been reported in 4% to 10% of cases and includes keratoconjunctivitis, peripheral corneal ulcers, episcleritis, scleritis, iridocyclitis, optic neuritis, macular edema, blepharitis and myositis.1 We describe a patient with nonspecific orbital inflammation involving the lacrimal gland as the initial presenting symptom of Crohn's disease. To our knowledge, lacrimal gland inflammation as the presenting sign of Crohn's disease has not previously been reported. |
