| Popis: | 1. 1. The effect of a number of hexoses and pentoses on 3-O- methyl- d -glucose transport into isolated hepatocytes is reported. 2. 2. The hexoses tested inhibited transport in a competitive manner, with Ki values ranging from 80 to 190 mM. 3. 3. No significant inhibition was seen with either d -ribose or d -arabinose. |
