Popis: The author provides a brief primer of the biologic processes in the brain that produce affect and implement communication. These neuroanatomic and neurophysiologic processes are presented in broad configuration rather than in detail and as distributive systems rather than just as localized mechanisms. The basic viewpoint is that of a continuum between the biologic processes within the brain and their manifestation as behavioral phenomena expressed in, and visible to, the culture. The primary focus is not clinical but on neuroanatomy and neurophysiology as basic medical sciences for psychiatry.
