Popis:	A new guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid ethoxyvalerianol (1) and one known sesquiterpenoid valeranone (2) together with selina-4,7(11)-diene (3) and selinene (4), which were obtained from (+)-maaliol (5) by decyclization and dehydration, were isolated from Valeriana tangutica. Their structures were elucidated by 1D- and 2D-NMR spectroscopic data and HR-ESI-MS analysis.
