Popis: | Hypercalcemia during the recovery phase of renal function is a relatively common complication of rhabdomyolysis-associated acute renal failure. The cause is unclear but it has been suggested recently that both hyperparathyroidism and high levels of calcitriol are implicated. We present evidence which does not support these hypotheses.
