Popis: International audience; Despite the inaccuracy of long-term technology forecasts there seems to be a strong consensus that new technologies should be centred on the user, improving the quality of life and adapting to the individual, without the need to be aware of the technical details. The environment needs to become smarter, more responsive, and more accommodating to the needs of the people. Future technologies will provide context-aware services and will introduce new levels of personal comfort and safety. Personalisation and ubiquitous access to information and communication will be essential. Users will be able to create a personal profile that, according to the situation and moment, will allow them to access the most suitable means of communication and the most relevant information. These ideas can be found in visions for the future produced in various scenarios, such as WWRF's Book of Visions
