Popis:	My title is perhaps sanguine. Nevertheless, a number of international companies have improved their exploration performance significantly by using principles of risk analysis and portfolio management in combination with new geotechnologies. If they have not eliminated exploration risk, they certainly have greatly reduced it, on a portfolio scale. In addition, the widespread adoption of standardized risk analysis methods has brought badly needed discipline to petroleum exploration.
