| Popis: | A necropsy study was made of the relationship of the degree of coronary atherosclerosis to the presence of gross myocardial infarction in men who were 30 to 49 years of age, inclusive. Those with wasting disease were excluded. The controls were those of the same sex and age group who did not have a gross myocardial lesion at necropsy. The results showed that in this group of young males the presence of gross myocardial infarction is significantly related to the presence of severe coronary atherosclerosis. |
