Popis: | 1. 1. The comparative antigenic structure of catalase of various mammalian species was investigated by immunodiffusion with antisera prepared against non-hemoglobin protein fraction of human and bovine erythrocytes coupled with a specific enzymatic reaction. 2. 2. Specific antigenic determinants for man and the Bovidae family were demonstrated by reactions with anti-human and anti-bovine sera respectively. 3. 3. Anti-human serum revealed five additional antigenic determinants common to man and the animals examined in the following decreasing order: Cercopithecidae (5 determinants), Bovidae (4 determinants), Equidae (3 determinants), Canidae (2 determinants), Muridae and Cricetidae (1 determinant). |
