Popis: This article deals with the relation between linguistic theory (specially tipology) and anthropology in Edward Sapir. This aspect of the work of Sapir is particularly important to indicate a line of research, in the twentieth century history of USA linguistics, that has never forgotten the correlation between linguistics and extralinguistics aspects.
