Popis: | An unusual combination of supravalvular aortic stenosis and multiple aneurysms of the ascending aorta was found in a girl, aged 18, with subacute bacterial endocarditis. Surgical treatment consisted of removal of the aneurysmatic aorta and widening of the stenosis with a woven Dacron prosthesis. The operation was undertaken after six months of massive antibiotic treatment. Recovery was uneventful and the patient has been in good health during a one-year follow-up period. |
