Popis: | Dextrans from Leuconostoc mesenteroides react with antisera to ribitol and glycerol teichoic acids from Lactobacillus plantarum NCIB 7220. The antibodies are specific for the α- d -glucosyl substituents of the teichoic acids and this accounts for the cross-reaction. Amylose, amylopectin and glycogen do not react with the antisera. |
