Popis:	On the contrary to the sanctuaries in Belgic Gaul, cult sites located in the southern half of Gaul have never been studied from a global perspective. Based on a historiographical demarcation and a list of sites, the aim of this paper is to discuss the criteria of quantity, quality and function of weapons in ritual contexts as a key to understanding the background of the rituals of weaponry deposition in gaulish sanctuaries.
