Popis: | The small bowel enema examination is a well accepted technique for the examination of the small bowel (Nolan & Cadman, 1987). Currently, the standard tubes used are the Nolan modification of the Bilbao-Dotter tube (Cook) and the Silk tube (Merck). We have been using a Levin-type nasoduodenal feeding tube manufactured by Vygon for jejunal intubation. This is a 125 cm long, 14F diameter tube designed for single use. It is easy and quick to pass and allows a fast barium flow rate. It is also cheap. We report a prospective randomized trial comparing the Vygon and Nolan tubes. |
