Purpose of study: To evaluate nurses' awareness and knowledge of cultural-sensitive care Design: A descriptive survey was condutcted among 39 nurses working in a hospital in Ras- Al Khaimah, UAE over a period of two days. Methods: A validated structured 15-item questionnaire (r=0.764) was used for data collection and completed on site using pen and paper. Responses on cultural awareness were categorized into three levels: Low (2) and Fisher's Exact Tests (FET) were used to determine the association between selected demographic characterisitics and the key variables at p-value ��� 0.05. |
