Popis: | 1Surgical removal of the affected ovary can be accomplished in the standing mare if the tumor is small. A vaginal approach can be used if the ovary is < 10 cm in diameter, and a paralumbar approach can be used if the ovary is < 15 to 18 cm in diameter. 2 Large ovaries are often removed under general anesthesia by use of either a ventral midline or diagonal paramedian approach. The diagonal paramedian approach has been reported to be superior for removing enlarged ovaries, because the incision is created close to the intraabdominal location of the ovary. 3 |
