Popis: The subjectively estimated magnitude of human tactile sensation elicited by tapping the tongue was depressed during taste stimulation by 3 and 6% NaCl solution, 0.1% quinine and 0.5% acetic acid. No significant change in the tactile sensation occurred during flow of 2–20% sucrose solution. The result may be attributed to presynaptic inhibition exerted by gustatory onto lingual tactile afferents.
