Popis: | RNA analysis of mice transgenic for human CD46 reveals almost undetectable levels of the expected transcript and the accumulation of a 900 nt shorter species. cDNA cloning and sequence analysis of this variant demonstrate an aberrant splicing of the transgene RNA. This aberrant splicing is present at low levels in cells that normally express the gene, suggesting that the transgene is lacking regulatory elements influencing the abundance of the shorter transcript. |
