| Popis: | The difference in duration of the calving interval (CI) affects the number of calves born and the amount of milk produced per cow. The objective of the work was to evaluate the behavior of the CI in dairy herds of Los Altos, Jalisco. The management that is carried out in the five farms evaluated is similar, the feeding is based on integral diets of grains, silage, and alfalfa and they performed insemination. The information was obtained from the global report generated by the LACTO software of AGROPEC Star®, and the monthly and annual IEPs of 794 cows were analyzed on an annual average of five farms, during a period of eight years (2010 to 2017), the data were analyzed using a completely randomized design with subsampling and comparing Tukey’s means with the SAS statistical package.
