Popis: | We describe a glucose quality assessment scheme suited to the visual-read BM-Test Glycemie 1-44 system. Despite the fact that user technique is very important and errors can occur, visualread testing is often excluded from organized assessment schemes. One problem is the difficulty of monitoring the quality of testing based solely on the comparison of the semi-quantitative strip result with a quantitative laboratory result. To overcome this, we devised a scheme and scoring system capable of assessing the user's technique in collecting and applying the capillary blood sample to the test strip, as well as assessing the quality of the result obtained. |
