Popis:	One hitherto unidentified δ5-3β-hydroxy-steroid has been isolated from 1000 ml normal male plasma. By such criteria as infrared and sulfuric acid spectra, mobility of the free and acetylated compound in different solvent systems of paper chromatography, as well as a positive reaction with sulfuric acid-ethanol reagent, the isolated material was identified as 17-hydroxy-pregnenolone.
