Popis: | Household sexual abuse is reported here as a dysfunction in some remarried families with a child who presents problems of depression, suicidal gestures, adolescent rebelliousness, or poor school achievement. Common dynamics of the family and each family member are explored and treatment issues are discussed. A child's ability to admit abuse is a function of the therapist's comfort in hearing it, ability to deal with anger, and need to exercise control. Various forms of sexual abuses and their treatment are illustrated with case histories. |
