| Popis: | Three cases of salmonella colitis with massive lower gastrointestinal hemorrhage are presented. The patients had fever, diarrhea, and abundant hematochezia; blood and bone marrow cultures were positive for Salmonella typhi. Because of bleeding, all patients underwent hemicolectomy; previous mesenteric arteriograms showed the colonic hemorrhagic sites. The pathologic and radiologic findings are described. |
