Litovkin, 2 ♂♂, 4 ♀♀ (PCL), 2 ♀♀ (NMW). Russia: Western Siberia, Kemerovo Oblast, Krapivinsk District, ca. 6 km SSW Saltymakovo, near Azhendarovo Biological Research Station of Kemerovo State University, 544622N 87042E, 24.VII.2009, leg. A. Korshunov, 1 ♀ (PCE). For specimens from Korea and Russian Far East see Jung et al. (2015) and Prokin et al. (2016). Distribution (Fig. 4): North Korea; northern South Korea (Sat 1978; Jung et al. 2015); Russia, Jewish Autonomous Oblast (Prokin et al. 2016). The species is here recorded for the first time from Kyrgyzstan and Western Siberia. Prokin et al. (2016) erroneously recorded this species from Khabarovsk Kray, but in fact, Bashurovo belongs to the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, not to Khabarovsk Kray. Bionomics: In Kyrgyzstan, all specimens were collected with light traps placed in arid foothills. One of the light traps was located approximately 700 meters from a small river near Karyn-Kur, and the second light trap was located in a dry river bed near Tash-Kumyr. The Siberian specimen was found in a small lake in the floodplain of Tom River. In South Korea Stenelmis koreana was found in riffle areas from midstream to downstream reaches. Today, this species is known only from the Imjin River (Fig. 5), Gyeonggi Province, Yeoncheon-gun, Gunnam-myeon, Buksam-ri, 38553.8N 127050.4E, close to the Korean Demilitarized Zone. All other localities in South Korea, where it has hitherto been collected, are more or less destroyed. Remarks: The herein reported Siberian specimen differs from the Kyrgyzstan specimens in slightly larger body size and slightly more strongly constricted pronotum.
