Popis: | The presence of air in the peritoneal cavity is called a pneumoperitoneum. Most of the time, 85-95% of the time, the cause of the pneumoperitoneum is the perforation of a hollow viscera, but 5-15% of the cases are non-surgical and defined as non-surgical, asymptomatic, benign or idiopathic pneumoperitoneum, which resolve with a conservative treatment. Below we describe the clinical case of a patient who presented a pneumoperitoneum. |
