Popis: | New developments in the field of Fano-resonant plasmonic metamaterials are reviewed. The emphasis is on the applications of such artificial electromagnetic materials to a variety of technologically important areas: solar energy harvesting and conversion, sensing/identification of ultra-small molecular contents, and extreme molding of the flow of light. Most recent theoretical tools for describing Fano-resonant metamaterials are reviewed. Both fully three-dimensional metamaterials and planar meta-surfaces are discussed, and their future prospects for applications are critically evaluated. |
