In this paper, the deposition of Ag porous foams from a novel electrolyte, using hydrogen bubbles as a template during deposition at high cathodic currents, is described. Using NH4+ to increase the hydrogen evolution rate, foams with an average pore size of 20–45 μm were produced. The size of the smallest branches was in the nanoscale range. The possible explanation of the dependence of the Ag deposition rate on the NH4+ concentration increase is described.
