Popis:	The state of components of the river ecosystems was assessed on the basis of results of hydrochemical and hydrobiological investigations of the Belous river and of the Desna river (from the town of Chernigov to its estuary). Ecological risks conditioned by the spill of sewage of the town of Chernigov into water courses were determined.
