Popis: | Summary To investigate the relationships among figural and verbal creativity, language and nonlanguage intelligence, and school readiness, a test battery of the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking, California Test of Mental Maturity, Metropolitan Readiness Tests, and the Picture Interpretation Test was administered to 83 first grade children. Varimax rotations of the correlation matrix resulted in a three factor solution identified by relatively clear and high loadings for figural creativity, verbal creativity, and intelligence-school readiness. In contrast to previous studies, the creativity measures remained as separate and distinct factors which were relatively independent of the intelligence and school readiness measures. |
