Popis: | The extraction properties of original mixed micellar systems, Triton X-114/N-alkylsalicylideneimine type amphiphilic Schiff bases, have been investigated for removal of nickel(II) from aqueous solutions. The acid-base behavior of chelating Schiff bases in aqueous micellar solution was first studied, and their acidity constants were determined. The phase diagram of Triton X-114/water micellar system was then established, The cloud point extraction of nickel(II) by mixed micelles Triton X-114/amphiphilic Schiff base ligand was studied in a concentrated chloride medium, as function of pH, extractant and surfactant concentrations, temperature and time. The stoichiometry of the extracted Ni(II)-complexes was finally determined. |
