Social welfare state is called a state that provides its citizens and persons legally located on its territory with a high standard of living and free development. There is clearly states in the Ukrainian Constitutional Charter; that the highest social value in Ukraine is a person, his/her life and health, honor and dignity,integrity and security. It is also indicated that ensuring the rights and freedoms of every person is themain duty of the state. From these provisions it follows that in our country, it is the state that is the activeand main participant in ensuring the implementation of social protection for the population. The object of an article is a theoretical essence substantiation and study of the statisticalbackground of the analysis of state support of social protection for the population of Ukraine. The object of research is the social protection for the population. The subject of research is the state system regulation in the field of social protection. The social protection system in Ukraine has not yet received its final form and is constantly in a stage of transformation processes. Methods of implementing the statistical support of social protection for the population are also being improved, since it is with the help of statistical methods that control and analysis of the effectiveness of social policy and ongoing reforms in this field is carried out. The application of a statistical approach will facilitate the effective implementation of social reforms. Scientific achievements on the substantive aspect of the concept of social protection and improving the practical activities of the state in this direction are carried out in specialized research institutions. Domestic and foreign scientists and specialists devoted their work to certain aspects of social protection, in particular: Z. Baranyk, N. Bolotina, I. Diakonova, A. Yepifanov, I. Salo, V. Bazylevych, P. Shevchuk, O. Palii, V. Skurativskyi, V. Moskalenko, I. Basantsov, T. Kosova, I. Mykhailovska, O. Nelipovych, A. Harsiia, J. Hruat and others. An analysis of scientific research in this field, devoted to the study of theoretical, methodological, applied aspects of social protection for the population, as well as a statistical analysis of the effectiveness of the state policy functioning to ensure state support for the population, indicate a wide variety of approaches, techniques, conclusions and assessments. The fundamental nature of this scientific problem is determined by the lack of a unified approach to the interpretation of its theoretical and methodological backgrounds. This determines the need for further research. |
