Popis: Solution plasma process (SPP) was employed to degrade chitosan. The effects of the initial pH value and the distance between the electrodes on the steady shear flow behavior, structural characterization, molecular conformation, and antioxidant activity of chitosan were investigated. The results revealed that a lower initial pH value and a narrower distance between the electrodes were beneficial to the decrease in viscosity and increase in shear-thinning capacity.
